 Special Friends Inc. was organized in 1986 to promote the general welfare of all people with emotional, physical and developmental disabilities in Chippewa County. We are a purely volunteer agency with no paid staff. We welcome members who are parents, professionals, neighbors and friends of people who need our help to improve the quality of their lives in our community. We welcome the interest, ideas and support of all those who share this goal and know that by working together we will succeed.The Board Members and Officers of this organization are all people who either have children with special needs or work with people who have special needs. We are people who care about others and the society we live in. We believe that everyone is created equal and deserves to be treated with respect. It is important to realize that having a disability does not change the need for everyone to participate in activities with each other.
